Picture of the Day: Owl Pot

The other day a friend treated me to a teppanyaki lunch in Causeway Bay. It is a newly-opened restaurant so it still has a few kinks to sort out.

But one of the dishes on the set menu was so cute! The chawanmushi, or steamed egg custard with crab meat was presented in this ceramic pot shaped like an owl!

However to eat the chawanmushi inside I had to lift up the lid and decapitate the bird...
